Number 2, a Nashville, Tennessee native, steps out way beyond her world with a one-way ticket to Maine in order to walk her way to Georgia on a southbound hike along the Appalachian Trail. You’ll read about conquering legendary mud, wildlife encounters, extreme weather reports, hiker hunger, and just about everything you would and wouldn’t expect to hear about from a five month three week adventure in the woods. The Next Project

I set out to finish the book I had started 11 years ago, but I never expected to also start my own publishing company. Nothing was easy, but it was definitely worth the effort. Pack some beans and a pot, bring a little bread, tie my bandana around my neck, and button up my jacket. A good book and my guitar provide endless inspiration. It’s simple and hard, scary and fun, certain and uncertain, lonely and free…it’s everything I need.
